The Asian Australian Business Council (AABC) proudly hosted a highly successful Dinner Forum last Friday evening, bringing together members, business associates, and community leaders for an evening of insights, networking, and celebration.

Keynote Highlights

The evening’s keynote speaker and honoured guest was Zann Maxwell, City of Sydney’s Deputy Lord Mayor, who shared his vision and plans for “making Sydney great again.” His discussion sparked meaningful dialogue about the city’s future, highlighting opportunities for innovation, community engagement, and business growth.

Adding to the evening’s prestige, Mr Maxwell was interviewed by Yvette Grady Russo, a four-time Emmy Award-winning journalist, whose thoughtful questions and professional presence elevated the conversation.

A Night of Acknowledgments

Our Vice President, Dion Woo, delivered an outstanding performance as Master of Ceremonies, guiding the program seamlessly while entertaining our guests with his trademark humour and flair.

We also extend our gratitude to our valued sponsors: Medibank and RackCorp, for their ongoing partnership and support of AABC initiatives.

A special thank you goes to Lydia Zhang, sponsor and head of The Australian Stem Cell Association, for her insightful presentation on the latest advancements in stem cell research and development.

We also acknowledge Jia He for managing the event’s visuals with great professionalism. Jia will also be leading a series of five upcoming digital workshops on “Creating a Data-Driven Marketing Strategy,” which we know will bring immense value to our members and partners. Stay tuned for details.

Our founding members, David Leoung and Peter Wong, continue to provide steadfast support to AABC, and we are deeply grateful for their ongoing contributions.

Teamwork & Support

Behind the scenes, many individuals contributed to the evening’s success:

  • Kaju Singh, our new Secretary, worked tirelessly to support event operations.

  • Aoranuj, one of our dedicated members, generously assisted with guest management and last-minute event logistics.

  • We thank all businesses who contributed raffle prizes, with special recognition to Muhammad Mughal, tax consultant at UBS, for donating a $500 prize towards a tax consultation service fee.

We were also delighted to welcome back Mohammed Haroon, AABC’s former Vice President and founding member, whose return we warmly celebrate.

Moving Forward Together

The event was not only a night of inspiration and recognition, but also a reminder of the importance of active participation in AABC’s initiatives. The continued growth and vitality of our organisation depends on the engagement of its members, and we encourage all to reflect on how best they can contribute to AABC’s mission.

Thank You

On behalf of the AABC, we thank everyone who attended and contributed to this memorable evening. With the continued support of our members, sponsors, and community, AABC looks forward to building more opportunities that connect, empower, and inspire.
